Despite uneasy race weekend in Monza Ondra Jezek brings the four points in the championship table of FIM Cup Superstock 1000.

Friday's programme of the World Cup FIM Superstock 1000 at the legendary Italian Monza circuit began at noon with free practice. Ondra started at Monza for the third time. The circuit is the fastest in the whole series, engine performance plays a crucial role here. Contrary to forecasts, the entire free practice went on dry track. Although clouds still threatened, the rain didn´t hit the track by any drop. Ondra got an average time and ended eighteenth. Hour before the afternoon qualifications it begun raining. For Aprilia the rain was living water. Ondra fluctuated throughout the qualification in the top ten and the result was excellent seventh place.

On Saturday morning the rain came again. In the second free practice Ondra again moved in the top ten and it the end he spiced it by second place! After lunch skies have cleared and the race track at Monza, Italy was flooded by the sun. The afternoon final qualification was already on dry track. And that was the trouble. Engine of Aprilia was not enough for competition once again. Despite all the efforts of Ondra it was only a twentieth place and start up from the fifth row.

Twentieth starting position indeed wasn´t too optimistic forecast for Sunday race. Ondra was willing to give his maximum. Start was a success, in the first problematic chicane he avoided the fray and started on the 18th position. Not for any great overtaking this time. Ondra used perfectly the mistakes of his opponents and finished the race as a sixteenth. Then administred by the Jury several riders were penalized for reducing a chicane. In total, Ondra advanced to the final 12th position. In the overall table he holds 16th place with a profit of 13 points. Czech championship race, which takes place next weekend in Brno, MS Racing skips. The team is waiting for more than a month of break in which it will focus on engine performance tuning.

Ondra Jezek:
„With the weekend in Monza I can not be satisfied. In the first qualifying session and subsequent free practice, which were on water, I showed that the scoring in the top five is no problem for me. In the second qualification, however, it was dry and it fully reflected the performance deficit of our Aprilia. I had significantly improved the twentieth place
from qualifications later in the race but still that's no reason for complacency. Five-week break will be used for relaxing and then for the physical preparation for the second half of the season in which I expect to return to the top positions. The gap in the overall ranking is still not high.“
