In Magny Cours near the Burgundy wine region continued the World Supersport Championship with penultimate race. Ondrej Jezek ended the race just behind the points on 16th position.

French circuit at the town of Nevers welcomed the participants with beautiful weather. Day temperatures accompanied by blue sky, the whole weekend was around 25°C. Ondra and his team SMS Racing would like to build on the 14th place from Imola with the next crop of world points. Friday's free practice and qualification have been marked by the 16th places. Saturday's free practice Ondra surprised everyone by finishing in tenth place with the loss of one second to the winner of training. The crucial qualification, however, chose the team bad luck when cracked bolt in clutch basket meant an early end to their efforts. Ondra had no opportunity to improve his Friday's time and followed a slump to 21st place. In the start of Sunday's race Ondra succeeded perfectly. As the reaction itself, so a nifty move in the opening rounds brought him to 14th place and he joined the fight in the group for 11th place. In about half of the race he began to lose contact due to insufficient adhesion of tires and after a fight with the Polish Szkopek he occupied the 16th position.

„From the race in Magny Cours I promised no miracle. I raced there five times and except the last year´s Stock race I have ridden no point here. However, Friday's practice session and especially Saturday morning shown that this time I have a chance to ride a proper result. But our hopes were glared slightly in qualification. Could only attack from behind again. The start of the race I managed exactly according to plan. When I arrived the group fighting for 11th place I believed that I could get over the opponents. Unfortunately, we did not have as good chassis set-up as in Imola, and in about ten laps I started to have big problems with grip. I lost contact with the group, Frenchman overtook me and I could only defend Szkopek at the 16th place and wait if someone in front of me makes a fault. Unfortunately, this did not happen and the points were not achieved. Till the end of the season remains only Portimao. It would be nice to finish it with scored result."
