Firstly, its great atmosphere and perfect facilities of a modern circuit,
secondly unusually stable and nice weather and thirdly one would like to write for the result, but unfortunately, despite a solid performance Ondra in the race it was not enough for points.

After the August break, the entire SMS Racing team was looking forward to the race at the Nürburgring. In the first free practice on wet surface Ondra was twelfth. On the afternoon qualifying the track went dry and Ondra occupied 21st place. On Saturday, both morning and afternoon in the final qualification, despite great efforts he didn't get in the twenty. Certain spasticity was felt in his normally relaxed driving style. Bike performed well, except for the technical problems with fallen gear stick in the end of free practice session.

On Sunday despite the weather forecast expecting rainfall it was sunny again. After the start Ondra went through the first technical section well and went a couple of places ahead. Unfortunately, errors followed and he found himself back on 21st position. Together with Patrik Vostárek, Polish Szkopek and German Moser they battled for the top twenty. After half of the race Ondra finally ventured. He overtoo Szkopek and Patrik and started to chase the Dellomo-Quarmby duo on Triumphs. In the end he was just tenths of seconds from 16th place and points. However, from the Nürburgring the team departs with a feeling of work well done, which, in the races to come, should bring the points in the championship table.

Ondra Jezek:
"After a month off the bike, I much enjoyed it. Unfortunately, my performance reflected the pause unfavorably. In training sessions, I didn't feel the best and I wasn´t able to significantly improve my times. Starting from the sixth row was not quite an optimal starting position for the race. In the first corners I have managed to forge a few positions ahead, but then came the errors when I twice geared through and went off the track. Without this hesitation, I think I would have managed to gain some points. In the middle of the race I got into a good pace and ran faster and stable times. I was pulling both Italian Triumphs at the end of the race strongly. I missed approximately two rounds to get to the fifteenth place. Motorcycle performed perfectly regarding the chassis. I want to thank the team for a good work. I believe that in Imola I will continue in a similar pace as in the end of the race in Germany and that we will finally get back to the first fifteen."
