At Silverstone riders and teams were welcomed by perfect background and for English situation unexpectedly good and stable weather. The circuit was rebuilt primarily with an emphasis on car racing and motorcycle fan, therefore, comes at the cradle of British motor racing to a little less experience.
Friday's sessions were still marked by the fall at the end of the race in Brno and the mechanics refined Ondra's Honda on the move. The result was 21st place in the first qualifying. On Saturday morning, Ondra flew in the free practice with full gusto. He moved around the 12th up to 16th place. In the last
phase of training, however, he fell on the fast track at speed of over 200 kms. Fortunately, survived the crash unscathed. In the afternoon's final qualifying it turned out that the motorcycle is ready to replace the frame, so despite the improvement it was not enough for better than 22nd place.
Ondra Jezek:
"Today started very promisingly, in the morning I got into a good pace and quickly improved time from yesterday. On the used tire, I managed to go 2:12,2. After its replacement, the time however was not improved because I had a fall in the second fast corner. In qualifying I believed the time may be shifted below the 2:11. However, soon after hitting the track this proved completely unrealistic, because my bike was all screwed up. The whole qualifications were based on this so a better time than 2:11,6 just couldn´t be achieved. Tomorrow I start from behind, but I'll try to get ahead!"

Ondra started the race very well. Unfortunately, during the first round loses the 16th position again and when passing the first round he is on place 20. In the third round falls Lowes and Ondra is on the 19th place. In the fourth falls Harms and Dell'Omo stands back. Ondra at 17th place holds this position until the eighth round. At this stage of the race he runs times under 2:13. Toth is coming from behind and our rider is overtaken in the nineth round. Ondra together with Toth are catching the fifteenth Italian Ianuzzo. But his times begin to deteriorate. Three laps before the end Ivanov overtakes him and Ondra brings his Honda to the finish on 18th place.
Chaz Davies with Yamaha won the race, the second was David Salom on Kawasaki. Podium was completed by Frenchman Foret on Ten Kate Honda. Now the team has a free monthly interval, which will be used for the repairs and preparation of technical parts for the German
Nürburgring.
Ondra Jezek:
"Start of the race went perfectly. I got at least six positions forward. During the first round, unfortunately I had a problem with the rear tyre grip. I thought the moment from Aragon with the release of oil to the rear wheel repeats. This fortunately was not confirmed, but I lost the gained positions. In the middle of the race it began to seem that I will finish with the points. Behind me rode Toth and we dragged together to Szkopek and Iannuzzo. At the end of the race my handlebars started to close, Ivanov overtook me and the last two rounds I just rode safely till the end. I am sorry for this result and very unhappy with it. I felt good before the race, but in the end it was not a good day for me. In the August racing break I´ll be training and preparing for the last third of the season, which begins the first weekend in September at the Nurburgring."
